Wow, that was fast. Um, there's a 21 string one (the one I have) and a 16 string one. Then there's the GuQin which has 7 strings.

I don't know...I've always perceived facial hair to be a sign of laziness. You should shave before you go to an interview, and take your lip ring off too.

You look a lot better with short hair Wrath.

The lion dance is usually accompanied by drums and cymbals. Traditionally performed at New Year, the amount of noise that the performance makes is supposed to scare off the monster called Nian (which means year).

Looking at your pictures makes me think of the days when I was taking kungfu. Unfortunately, I got in a car accident and now can't make a full fist so I stopped. BUT, I am hoping to learn a sword dance after I perfect my ribbon dance! I'm going to see if I have any pictures of my performances.

As for your hair, I have to say it was amazingly long, but so was mine. It fell out really quickly after the car accident because all the collagen was going to my wounds, so I donated 30 inches to Locks of Love. It was a lot of hair so I made it onto our local newspaper (that and it was touching story).

@Kuro: We already have two Tiger Drums and a pair of cymbals(The correct Chinese ones, not some junk. >.>) Also we got two Lions. We usually do it out front of Master Chen's Tai Chi school. His parking lot connects to a major street, so we get some attention. I'm really sad to hear you can't to Gung Fu anymore. Can you do anything soft posture?

I don't know what soft posture is. I just can't spar anymore. But I'm a dancer at heart anyway so I can still do the forms, just not put them into practice. I'm think of re-learning tai chi sword with my mom. It's a great form of meditation.

I have to tell you, anyone who doesn't speak Mandarin is looked down upon in China. Mandarin speakers have developed a superiority complex due to the fact that it's the official language.

Uhh...Soft posture would be like Tai Chi. Soft, you know, so chi flows easier. I don't have to explain that to you. I guess I'd have to learn both. Mandarin is offered at the college, but my parents think I should learn Spanish. I mean, you think with something I'd be interested in learning I'd put more effort to, thus getting a good grade, but nooo..

Haha, tell your parents that the Chinese is going to dominate the economic scene and that everyone is switching to Chinese (not a complete lie). But yeah, you need to put major effort into Chinese. Some regard it as the hardest language. I wouldn't know since I'm native.

I think a lot of people say that just so others won't learn it. You know, the ol switch the way the detour sign points. But yeah exactly. Anyone with a sense of what the market is doing knows that China is going to pwn everyone. Maybe then the US will pick up some cultural sense of compassion. xD
